Tom Misch releases Reverie EP

Already high on many an artist’s list of go-to producers, 21-year-old Tom Misch has also been busy establishing himself as an accomplished musician in his own right. The latest step in that mission is ‘Reverie’, an EP of four tracks which more than suitably showcase Misch’s musical chops.

Amongst the four tracks are two collaborations, ‘Crazy Dream’ with south London rapper Loyle Carner – who has appeared on previous offerings from Misch – and ‘Follow’, which features the talents of Misch’s musician sister Laura. Along with ‘Wish’, each of these tracks has a sun-blushed, almost balearic feel to them, whilst still distinctly born out of London, and the EP is brought to a close by ‘Watch Me Dance’, a (deceptively) simple track laden with gorgeous strings that signals a slight change in tone from the previous three tracks. As a whole, this EP serves as an impressive stepping-stone that gently shifts Misch between being one to watch to being one to continue watching, closely
