Through a magnificent array of cotton and linen, and a descendent image of the The Henley Royal Regatta, this season saw Daks London evoke a sense of careless style and summer sensitivity in what was a collection of femininity and elegant sensuality. In light of the celebration of Spring/Summer 18’s need for lighter dressing, an exclusive striped cloth named “The Dak’s Regatta Stripe” was a continuous character throughout Daks most refreshing collection yet, proving Daks to be a brand of not only style, but also of heritage and design.
Within a colour pallet of white and beige, with accents of vicuna, silhouettes remained loose and flowing, yet still evoked a sense of summer sensuality – lines draped around the models and floating effortlessly with movement, proving that spring/summer dressing can be stylist, yet still remain comfortable – suiting remained loose and easy going, whilst lightweight knitwear worked effortlessly to provide a picture of signature classicalism that can only be linked to the Daks brand heritage and identity. Indeed, it was an air of sophistication and ‘real’ dressing that placed Daks’ Spring/Summer 18 collection as one that was not only wearable, but also identifiable and attractive – the perfect collection to dream of when Spring/Summer 18 starts beckoning its call.
