Entitled “the world has music for those who listen”, Icosae’s Spring/Summer 18 collection explores the notion of identity through dress, discussing the idea of the Icosae man and his many changeable looks. An adventurous man, the Icosae image is one of adventure and freedom, with Icosae creating a wardrobe to match. Through tones of red, black, white and grey, checked tailored wool against colour blocking and cut out silhouettes, the notion of the rebel boy was explored, showing the Parisian underground kid coming out to play.
This Spring/Summer collection offered a collection that was street ready and on trend, working with the inner ‘rebel’ to create an image that was obtrusive and unapologetic. It was indeed the careful consideration towards both freedom and confidence, intelligent tailoring and sportswear luxe comfort that presented Icosae as designers to occupy every adventurers wardrobe. Working with bomber jacket silhouettes, jersey t-shirts, suiting trousers and oversized sweat shirt shapes, Icosae’s Spring/Summer 18 collection embodied a clear juxtaposition of character, yet both designers behind Icosae combined the aesthetics remarkably, offering wearability, style and gutsy “give a fuck” attitude for the ready-to-wear Icosae man.
