We found ourselves wandering the streets of Regents Park for the very exciting Vin and Omi AW16 Collection. Colourful paper confetti filled the catwalk, ‘California Dreamin’ the soundtrack of the evening. Vin and Omi’s ‘Colourotic’ AW16 Collection was dazzling. The collection was made up of garments fitting for all occasions. We saw simple, structured tailoring; jackets with pleating details and fitted skirt co-ords, fringing silks gowns, laced crop tops and trouser combos and sequined party dresses. The collection played with textures from latex, fur, ruffling neck collars to beautiful flower appliques and embellishments. The colour palette was most certainly ‘colourotic’ with pinks, yellow and metallic being used alongside forest green, teal and berry.
Outfits were colour blocked head to toe, wigs and all. Masks completed the designs. Vin and Omi’s show had elegance, drama, it was playful, creative and honestly a spectacular AW16 offering. The show had a perfect combination of drama whilst showcasing the wearability of the garments. The nail art and accessories themselves must be applauded. From fishes to padlocks, the designs were remarkable. Jane Horrocks looked as every bit ‘Ab Fab’ as she modelled a beautiful white dress.
Fun colourful wigs and show stopping shoes completed the look.
Congratulations Vin and Omi for another amazing show, we are already excited for the next.
