Rebellion, dark glamour and devil reds are at the heart of Dilara Findikoglu and the work she creates. This season the message of the collection seemed more focused and evolved as she welcomes us into her world, Dilaratopia, whereby all our empowered and able to reign free from hierarchy, judgement and societal constraints. There is a strong focus on the fabrics and silhouettes, evolving the brand into stylised punk of opulence, not only political statements. Within the Banking Hall of London’s financial hub, the models came down a grand staircase to meet the audience. The great distance meant each look was eagerly awaited and time was given to take in all the intricate details of her iconic patchwork and embroidery, that were met with traditional pinstripe jackets, hyper-embellished corsetry and bold blue suiting. As always Dilara Findikoglu use her platform to inform and express her personal identity and beliefs, to not simply create a product, but an extension of her unique being.
