The clothes completely took centre stage for PIETER’s SS17 collection as models stood against a single white curtain on a white frame. The designer’s staple colours were black, grey and navy but it looks like the metallic trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon as shiny and muted metallics featured heavily amongst some blue and pink pastel shades too. Pieter took inspiration for this collection from Miami Beach so as we have come to expect from this brand, some looks were daring and risqué – one model wearing a pastel pink pair of shorts in a suggestive semi-transparent nylon.
Some baring skin with flashes of midriff between cropped metallic sweat shirts and black swim briefs teamed with sliders; others wore backless tops with metallic swim briefs on show above their trousers. Overtly sexual slogans on Plain pastel t-shirts also appeared, t shirts featured ‘rent boy’ and ‘come down’ and pieces of statement jewellery completed many of the outfits.
