Emilio de la Morena has transported us to the set of Amy Heckerling’s Clueless for his Spring/ Summer 2018 collection. The overt references of tweed, sharp tailoring, padded jackets that are cropped or nipped in at the waist and a-line mini skirts from the film which has become a generational classic, did not distract from the excellence of Emilio de la Morena designs. The complexity of each garment was outstanding whilst still remained very versatile. Turquoise, fuchsia and emerald demanded the attention of all, as the ‘it girl’ strutted out, with voluminous silhouettes in a variety of silk, satins and organzas, asserting sexuality and classic femininity. You cannot help but want to be her.
