Sibling London, season on season merge colour and pattern in ways we could only dream of. AW17 was no different. Based on iconic mosaics from Gaudi, graphic lines and a mixture of patterns brought together by bright red, orange, pink and navy strutted the catwalk. London and its many wonderful characters were the basis of bringing this collection to life; accessories in particular played an important role. Imagine flat caps teamed with ruffle collars alongside Babs Windsor inspired wedding bunting in sequin and floral sock bows. With music to match, London’s Pearly Kings and Queens, the Jubilee, the Jamaican and the tough girls and boys of East London all played their visionary part in creating this collection. Over-sized knitted sweaters with ruffles on ruffles flowed alongside tribal patterns in tailored shapes. Hand crochet vests in knitted lurex, full bodied skirts, classic cardigans and tight knitted three quarter leggings all played their part in this extravagant showcase of fun.
Where ever Sibling are getting their energy from, we all need our dose as they brightened up the dullest of wet London evenings and gave energy to the Fashion Week Men’s Collections exactly where needed.
