From a vision of distorted prints, intertwined with curved lines and multi-level embroidery, the Three Floor woman from this season’s spring /summer collection embodied the movement of dance, namely from the influence of pioneering perfomers Loie Fuller and Isadora Duncan. Against a backdrop of pastel toned squares which can only embody the hypmnotic colours created by the Lumiere brothers, the three floor women evoked a sense of consistant movement and indeed a vision of the future of female dressing, and what a spectacle of movement it was.

Through the use of intricate ruffles and sharply cut embellishments layering against a backdrop of lace, pleating and sheer fabrication, there was a play between the strength and modernity of the 21st century woman, against the lightness and delicacy that added a dream state approach to the collection, pioneering the tone of summer and indeed the power of the dress in summer. The confidence of Three Floor woman was further accentuated through bold tones of Mediterranean blues and saphires, set against dazzling tones of sunflower yellow and classic black and whites – the three floor woman of spring summer 17 did not shy away from attention and indeed moved viewers into the vision of what the future holds for summer dressing.
